Clientele
KENTCO personnel have performed in all phases of the test and evaluation life cycle: from requirements and objectives determination through data collection and analysis of system field tests. KENTCO expertise includes participation in both laboratory and field/sea tests, and overall test and evaluation capabilities are enhanced by the whole team’s extensive analytical and planning skills.
KENTCO has continued to support the Office of Naval Research Organic Mine Countermeasures FNC Program Office in demonstrating and evaluating novel mine reconnaissance and breaching/clearing systems and transformational use of UUVs from High Speed Vessels under operational situations. KENTCO personnel provided technical engineering support for Blue Game, a NATO exercise conducted in the waters off Norway, and the Joint Forces Command exercise CJTFEX 04-2, conducted in North Carolina. KENTCO personnel planned for and coordinated all aspects of ONR's operational integration and support requirements during these exercises. ONR's requirements for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) are also coordinated by KENTCO personnel.
For the past seven years, KENTCO has supported the Office of Naval
Research Joint Countermine Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration
Program Office, now the Organic Mine Countermeasures Future Naval
Capability Program Office, in demonstrating and evaluating novel mine
reconnaissance and breaching/clearing systems under operational
situations. KENTCO personnel are members of the ONR Execution
Planning Team home-based at Camp Lejeune and have provided the exercise
planning and site coordination support for technology testing and
demonstrations during the Joint Countermine Advanced Technology
Demonstrations (JCM ACTD), major fleet exercises and Fleet Battle
Experiments.
Technical and engineering support, test/demonstration planning and systems
engineering and integration support have been provided over this
period. KENTCO provided planning and coordination support to a wide
variety of ONR-sponsored technology testing the demonstration support
requirements during demonstrations, tests and operational exercises.
This support included the coordination of detailed operational and
logistic support requirements for Integrated Processing Teams, including
representatives from several laboratories, universities and independent
contractors with military and civilian exercise planners and operational
personnel. For these demonstrations, ONR's requirements for
compliance with NEPA, including the preparation of three Environmental
Assessments, were coordinated by KENTCO personnel.
In these endeavors, KENTCO provided substantial input to the operating forces pertaining to the proper planning and employment of those systems. KENTCO personnel have a current and working knowledge of mine countermeasures (MCM) techniques, tactics, and procedures and are especially conversant with MCM matters as they relate to Amphibious Operations. Systems engineering and integration services were provided to support pike offices in their efforts to provide an improved countermine capability, systems transition to support operational forces, and support for planning and building prototype equipment for demonstration of advanced technology capabilities.
